Description
Sword is doooooooooone. And now, alcohol, because it turns out woodworking by hand is serious business. I've never done such a number on my shoulders and arms in my life. o__o
It's made of:
- 2 dowel rods
- 1 metal ruler
- 1 chair leg slide
- 1 cereal box
- 1 cracker box
- 2 tubes of superglue
- 1 sheet of sheet metal of some kind
- white pleather
- 1 dowel screw
- 4 small nails
- 1 large nail
- 2 kinds of paint
- about a gallon of elbow grease
- considerable hope
My very high-tech tools were:
- 2 chisels
- 2 hammers
- 1 screwdriver with various bits
- 2 locking wrenches
- 1 hand planer
- 1 paintbrush
- 1 sponge paint applicator
- sewing machine
- Dremel stylus, for metal-cutting and a small design at the top of the scabbard
- scissors
It's like a junior high woodshop project, really, but I'm happy with how it came out looking. If I make any changes, they'll include replacing the white paint on the scabbard with white pleather, and replacing the tip of the scabbard with actual metal. For the moment, it's painted paperboard. The small collet got stuck in my Dremel last night, so I couldn't attach the larger tool necessary to cut sheet metal. :\
Okay, guys. Srsly. Now, alcohol.

How do you like your stylus?I bought it to drill a hole into resin, and woodworking and metal maybe and glass and, the kicker, engraving antlers - do you think it can handle all of this? How long does it stay charged for when using it, approximately? and how long does it take to fully charge? thanks!
